PLASFESA has chosen a development model that integrates the protection and conservation of the Environment that surrounds us, therefore, it establishes as a general policy, that the development of its activities and those of its stakeholders, are carried out respecting the environment and within the framework of an Environmental Management System. In accordance with this policy, the following commitments in environmental matters are established as general guidelines for action:

• IDENTIFY the environmental aspects derived from its activities, services and products, and from the agricultural activities of its partners, in order to prevent and reduce, as far as possible, the associated negative impacts.
• TO COMPLY with the current legal requirements established in environmental matters that are applicable to the activities, products and services developed, as well as with other requirements that may be subscribed in the future, taking into account our stakeholders.
• USE resources in a sustainable manner, promoting the efficient use of energy, reducing, as far as possible, the use of raw materials and encouraging the reuse and recycling of waste generated by its activities and products, in its employees, end consumers and especially in its partners, who are the main players in protecting and maintaining biodiversity.
• MANAGE the waste generated in the most environmentally friendly way, minimizing its generation.
• IMPLEMENT a process of continuous improvement by periodically updating the environmental management system and environmental objectives.
• ESTABLISH two-way communication channels with interested parties, and inform workers of the environmental aspects arising from the performance of their activities and products, so that they become aware of them, and can contribute effectively to the achievement of the established objectives.
• MAINTAIN this environmental policy available to all interested parties.

Both the people who belong to PLASFESA and those who are affected by it, contribute to the process of continuous improvement of the company’s environmental performance.
